photo of Michael Charles "Golf is a game that provides endless opportunity to learn and improve. No one ever starts out good and no one is perfect. We all have things to learn. Even Tiger Woods.

My goal as an instructor is to find the best way to help my students improve and to provide my students with an understanding of the process. Each lesson is catered to the specific needs of each individual. My teaching philosophy is to keep it simple, teach the fundamentals, and work with each individual's needs and abilities.

One of the things I enjoy the most about teaching golf is the variety of golfers I get to work with. Beginners need to learn not only basic knowledge and fundamentals of the game, but most importantly how to enjoy the process of learning golf. Intermediate and Advanced golfers need to be pointed in the right direction to improve or eliminate flaws in their game. The casual golfer might want a few simple tips instead of a complete swing overhaul, while a more frequent player may have the time and desire to work on more long term improvements. Whatever your needs, whether you are new to the game, an aspiring pro, or anywhere in between, I can help you to meet your goals in golf."

"... I was hitting the ball so far I was surprising myself. On two occasions (even though some angrily said three) my new longer shot went awry and I accidentally hit into the group in front of me. I felt really bad about it but all of my clubs were hitting so much longer now. This was after just one lesson with Michael. "
